Boul. Deux-Montagnes closed between October 7th and 9th 2017

The Metropolitan Transportation Network – RTM wishes to advise all the resident of Deux-Montagnes that the Boulevard Deux-Montagnes will be temporarily closed to the car traffic during the Thanksgiving weekend in order to allow some of the repairs works on the new crossing level rail. The work will be completed between October 7th and 9th  2017. The Department of Transport Canada would like to note that the proposed work is in compliance with the Railway Safety Act. Signs will be provided to redirect road traffic and detours effectively.

REMINDER-PARTIAL CLOSURE OF THE BOULEVARD DES PROMENADES

During the week of September 25, between 10 pm and 5 am, the Ministry of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Electrification wants to inform road users of the partial closure of Boulevard des Promenades at the height of the staging decks of Autoroute 640 in Deux-Montagnes. This intervention is required as part of annual maintenance work on the road network structures.

In case of operational constraints or unfavorable weather conditions, work could be postponed.

Dike project in Deux-Montagnes- petition available at the municipal library

Following the spring floods in 2017, the mayor of Deux-Montagnes, Denis Martin, launched a petition asking for the construction of a dike on the shores of Lac des Deux-Montagnes in an area that remains to be defined. This type of dike helps to prevent, or at least reduce, the consequences of water floods.

 Citizens wishing to sign the petition can do so by presenting themselves at City Hall at 803 chemin d’Oka from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to noon or the municipal library at 200 Henri Dunant Street, Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 8 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 4:30 pm.
