Update on the Deux-Montagnes dike file
Various initiatives were initiated during the summer by the representatives of the City of Deux-Montagnes to develop a dike to counter the devastating effects of major floods, like the one last spring. Engineering studies have been commissioned by the City of Deux-Montagnes: a feasibility study, an impact study, and a hydraulic study. The resulting design is a vegetation-covered dike about 300 metres long. Some privately owned low walls will also have to be raised.
Bear in mind that the City of Deux-Montagnes must obtain authorization from the Quebec government, and in particular from the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment, and the Fight Against Climate Change, to build a dike.

REHABILITATION OF SEWER PIPES ON OKA ROAD
Sewer pipe rehabilitation works will be carried out during the week of December 4th between the 9th and 13th Avenues. A complete closure of Oka Road with detour path on Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6 and some night work will be required and will cause partial blockages and complete closures of the streets between the 11th and 12th Avenues

The 48th edition of Santa Claus Parade in Deux-Montagnes will take place on December 3rd from 1 pm to 3 pm on Oka Road. The parade will begin at the intersection of Oka Road and 20th Avenue and will end at the intersection of 8th Avenue. Join us for this magical moment!
