At their meeting on May 16 in Gatineau, on the eve of the Assises 2018, the members of the Board of Directors of the Union of Quebec Municipalities (UMQ) made several appointments. The elected representatives also appointed Mr. Denis Martin, Mayor of Deux-Montagnes, Chair of the Economic Development Commission of the UMQ. As part of his duties, Mayor Denis Martin will ensure, among other things, that he represents the economic development interests of Quebec municipalities to governments and offers a growing range of commercial services and privileges.

Note that minor inconveniences are expected on the chemin d’Oka between the East entrance of the City and 9th Avenue to complete the work undertaken in 2017. As of May 18, 2018 at 9 am, the level of Lac des Deux Montagnes is 23.01 meters according to the measures of the site Vigilance: flood monitoring of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP). The level is considered “normal” according to the data of this website. According to the weather forecast for the next few days, the MSP anticipates that the situation will remain stable. The various teams of the Ville de Deux-Montagnes remain vigilant and continuously monitor the level of the Lac des Deux Montagnes, as planned in the special flood response plan.
