The Tandem group, in collaboration with the seven municipalities of the territory, the MRC of Deux-Montagnes and the organization C.E.S.A.M.E., organize the 4th edition of the “Rendez-vous aux parcs”. Citizens of all ages, are invited on June 17 at Olympia Park, from 10 am to 2 pm, to go out and rediscover the pleasure of playing in their park. Animators will demonstrate the many opportunities that municipal parks encourage active play and discoveries. A box of spontaneous activities that gives free access to equipment will be available to all! Bring your lunch! Animations, snacks, surprises will be offered to participants.

Outdoor movie nights will be held in Parc Central on 13e Avenue. Shows begin after sunset. In case of poor weather, they will relocate to the Canadian Legion (141, chemin du Grand-Moulin) at 7:30 pm. Bring blankets and chairs! TheMaison des jeunes youth centre will sell snacks to raise money in support of activities for teens.

From June 1st to 7th, ‘’la Semaine Québécoise des personnes handicapées ‘’ will be held. The Office des personnes handicapées du Quebec (O.P.H.Q.) wishes to continue to raise awareness of the importance of adopting a positive attitude towards people with disabilities.

The O.P.H.Q. encourages the public to take simple steps to reduce barriers to the social participation of persons with disabilities and to build the inclusive society of tomorrow.

The City of Deux-Montagnes develops an annual action plan for people with disabilities.
