Take note that paving work will be undertaken soon in the turning loop as well as the parking located at the southern end of 8th Avenue and adjacent to the building “Le Sélection Deux-Montagnes”. The work will take place from October 9 to October 19, 2018. Parking will be prohibited during work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm.

For citizens concerned by the levee project near Lac des Deux Montagnes, a public information meeting will be held on October 4, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall (141 Grand-Moulin Road), from 7 to 9 pm. City Council members, municipal employees and representatives of a private engineering firm will outline the project and answer questions.

Due to the Provincial Election scheduled on October 1st, 2018, the Municipal offices will be closed exceptionally starting at 4 pm. Note that the public Library will be open exceptionally from 1:30 pm to 8 pm.

Effective October 17, 2018, the federalCannabis Act will receive Royal Assent. It will then become legal for any adult Canadian citizen (age to be determined by each province) to buy, possess, or consume cannabis.
