Deux-Montagnes, December 4, 2019 – Yesterday, a short commemorative ceremony was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the massacre at the École polytechnique de Montréal, a tragedy that claimed the life of Maud Haviernick, the beloved daughter of a Deux-Montagnes resident. For the occasion, the City of Deux-Montagnes paid tribute to Maud Haviernick and her family by naming a park in her memory.

Remembrance Day

Deux-Montagnes November 8, 2019 – On November 11, Lest we forget the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2 p.m., a parade will begin at the corner of 13th Avenue and Oka Road.  It will stop in front of City Hall and continue to the Royal Canadian Legion where a ceremony will be held at the Cenotaph. In addition, the flags of City Hall will be lowered to half-mast for the occasion.
