Mayor Denis Martin Appointed to MMC Executive Committee

Deux-Montagnes, December 14, 2021 – Deux-Montagnes Mayor Denis Martin was appointed to the Montreal Metropolitan Community (MMC) executive committee on December 9. The committee oversees the administration of the MMC’s 82 member municipalities. The eight-member executive committee is chaired by Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante and includes Longueuil Mayor Catherine Fournier and Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer. Mayor Martin will represent the interests of the North Shore on the committee.

2022 Budget Approved with Cut to Property Tax Rate

Deux-Montagnes, December 10, 2021 – The 2022 budget for the City of Deux-Montagnes was approved yesterday, December 9, at a special meeting of city council. For the next year, Deux-Montagnes residents will benefit from a lower property tax rate in order to limit the financial impact resulting from the overall increase in property values.
