The mayor of Deux-Montagnes declared a state of emergency on May 8, 2017 at 4 pm.

The Canadian Armed Forces arrive at Deux-Montagnes. At the express request of Denis Martin, Mayor of Deux-Montagnes, the Canadian Armed Forces agreed to move troops to assist our City.

Update on water floods

The City of Deux-Montagnes has been closely monitoring the water level for several days. According to flood ratings, the flood waters now reach 24.78 meters (data observed at 10 am this morning at Lac des Deux-Montagnes). The weather forecast predicts that the flood waters will reach its highest level today, and this until tomorrow morning.  Thereafter, the level will decrease.  The situation could still by concerning.

Water rise – emergency situation

The city of Deux-Montagnes has been in emergency position for several days. All Public Works and Fire Department  teams are deployed. La sécurité civile is also involved. Several residents had to be evacuated: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th 13th and 14th avenues more Lakebreeze street and Boulevard du Lac. A accomodation Center is open at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall at 141, Chemin Grand-Moulin.

In case of immediate assistance, call 911 and firefighters can help you evacuate.Please note that the drinking water is perfectly consumable ( non- contaminated).
