The project to develop a site for the rental of non-motorized boats is eligible for financial assistance from the CMM

The City is pleased to announce that the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) has ruled that the project to develop a welcome and boat rental site on the banks of the Royal Canadian Legion is eligible for financial aid as part of theProgramme d’aide financière pour les projets contribuant à la mise en place de la Trame verte et bleue sur le territoire métropolitain, a program that provides financial assistance to projects that contribute to the green and blue infrastructure of the metropolitan area.

The CMM Executive Committee adopted a resolution to this effect on October 10, 2013. This resolution grants the project financing in an amount not exceeding two-thirds of the project’s eligible expenses up to a maximum of $54,115.33, which is divided equally between the Community and the Government of Québec.

This is excellent news for a City that wants to establish a site for citizens and visitors alike who wish to rent non-motorized boats in order to explore its waterways.
