The City Has Obtained a Skills Investment Certificate

The City of Deux-Montagnes has obtained a Skills Investment Certificate from the Quebec government, which certifies its commitment to investing in the development of workforce skills.

The skills investment initiative that was launched in February 2012 is a collective effort of various labour market partners to meet the challenges of developing workforce skills and continuing education and training in Quebec.  Skills investment aims to mobilize all stakeholders around the training and skills development issue and to develop a continuous training culture in companies.

“Obtaining this certificate means that the City of Deux-Montagnes is committed to recognizing the skills, experience and knowledge of these employees. It will promote the development and recognition of skills from all staffing categories to develop human capital,” stated the City’s Mayor, M. Marc Lauzon.
