Deux-Montagnes, May 8th , 2019 – The Mayor of Deux-Montagnes, Mr. Denis Martin, is pleased to announce the 14th edition of Horticultural Day , which will be held on Saturday, May 25, at the municipal garage located at 625, 20e Avenue, between 9 am and 2 pm.
Free distribution of annual flowers, perennials and herbs
Residents of Deux-Montagnes are invited to come and get free annual flowers or perennials to start their gardening project. New this year, herbs will also be part of the variety offered to citizens. Upon presentation of proof of residence, the citizens of Deux-Montagnes, welcomed by their municipal councilors, will be able to obtain three free plants of their choice.
As part of the City’s beautification program, the Horticulture Day also offers the opportunity to meet the artisans of the‘’ Les incroyables comestibles’’ project , to learn more about good composting practices and to get the best from horticulture tips.
On site, a sale of snacks and hot dogs will be made to the benefit of the‘’Maison des Jeunes’’ and the ‘’ 5eGroup Scout of Deux-Montagnes’’, two groups involved on a volunteer basis for the event.
The activity of the Horticultural Day benefited greatly from the participation of theCaisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes, which for the tenth consecutive year has agreed to act as its main partner. “The Caisse Desjardins de Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes is proud to be associated with this day as main partner. As a cooperative, it is very important for the Caisse to contribute to the economic and social well-being of individuals and its community, “ said Roland Tourangeau, representative of the Caisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes.’’
The Mayor and the City councillors invite you to this event, this Saturday, May 25, from 9 am to 2 pm at the municipal garage located at 625, 20e Avenue in Deux-Montagnes.
