National Organ and Tissue Donor Week

Deux-Montagnes, April 14, 2020 – As National Organ and Tissue Donor Week continues until April 25, the City of Deux-Montagnes supports Transplant Québec’s efforts in its mission to inform and educate the general public about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

Over the last five years, there have been 867 organ donors and 2438 people transplanted in Quebec. Since December 31, 2019, close to 800 people are still waiting for a transplant.

Transplant Québec reminds the public that the consent of every donor counts to save lives and give hope to patients waiting for an Organ transplant. To help a people for transplant, you have to do registeryour consent.

There are three ways you can register your consent:

  1. Register your decision in the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec’s (RAMQ) Organ and Tissue Donation Registry
  2. Register your decision in the Chambre des notaires du Québec’s Organ and Tissue Donation Registry
  3. Sign the sticker and put it on the back of your health insurance card
