Horticultural Day 2014 – Flowers for Everyone!

The Mayor of Deux-Montagnes, M. Denis Martin, along with M. Neil Hawthorn, General Manager at the Caisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes have announced that the 9th edition of Horticultural Day will be held Saturday May 24 at the Land Management Department site located at  625, 20e Avenue.

Horticultural Dayis an initiative of the City of Deux-Montagnes for the benefit of the public. Residents are invited to come and get annual flowers or perennials during this event, free of charge.

“This day is an ideal opportunity for elected officials, public works employees and citizens to discuss horticulture together. Furthermore, the flowers that are offered embellish our territory very nicely,” replied M. Denis Martin, Mayor of Deux-Montagnes.

Horticultural Days could not be held without the participation of the Caisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes, which has once again kindly agreed to act as a major sponsor. “The Caisse is pleased to provide financial support for Horticultural Day. As a cooperative, the Caisse’s mission is to also contribute to the betterment of its community, and by collaborating in this project, we know that the citizens of Deux-Montagnes will be very happy to receive free flowers to improve their landscaping,” stated M. Hawthorn.

The Mayor, councilors and City of Deux-Montagnes staff therefore invite horticulture and greenery enthusiasts to come to the Land Management Department site (public works), located at 625 20e Avenue,   May 24, from 9am to 3pm. Please note that you must show proof of residence to receive flowers or plants.
