FLOOD MONITORING – UPDATE

Deux-Montagnes, April 22, 2019 – At 2 pm, the Lac des Deux Montagnes level is 24.33 m, which is theoretically the “major flood” threshold, according to the web site  Vigilance : surveillance de la crue des eaux  of the Ministry of Public Safety. Despite this very high level, the temporary dike erected by the City of Deux-Montagnes allows citizens not to be flooded. Municipal employees and subcontractors monitor the watertightness of the dike 24 hours a day in order to maintain this protection during the critical period.

The forecast for tomorrow is 24.36 m, and for Wednesday is 24.38 m. So an increase of about 5 centimeters in two days. Subsequently, there should be a gradual decrease in the flood.
