COVID-19 – As of February 14, indoor sports and leisure activities can resume for everyone

Deux-Montagnes, February 2, 2022 – According to the latest measures announced by the government, the city is pleased to announce the resumption of its indoor sports and leisure activities for everyone, starting next Monday, February 14.

The Leisure Department will communicate with those registered in each of the activities to confirm the start date and any other specific terms of participation in order to comply with the health measures in force.

Registrations accepted until February 9

There is still time to register for activities in which there are still places available, by contacting the Leisure Department at 450 473-2796, option 4, or in person during office opening hours. To view the winter program, click here.

Free badminton

Starting Wednesday, February 16, free badminton will also resume, every Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes. Citizens must have their prepaid card, since cash is no longer accepted. You can get a prepaid card ($25 for 5 visits / non-resident $50) at the Leisure Department or online on the Sport-Plus registration site.

The following sanitary measures must be respected:

  • Vaccination passport and valid ID card mandatory for people aged 13 and over.
  • Singles match only (two people) OR two pairs in a doubles match for occupants of the same address.
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory at all times, even when playing.
  • No reservations: first come, first served.
  • If people are waiting for a court to become available, players must leave their place after 1 hour of play.
  • Players must have their own equipment and bring their already filled water bottle.
