3rd Edition of Deux-Montagnes en fête

Wishing to pursue and to improve unifying activities for the community, the city of Deux-Montagnes present its third edition of theDeux-Montagnes en fête to be held from July 14th to July 16th.

A press conference was held last June 10th at the city hall to announce a remarkable family, cultural and sporting event. The goal is to create an annual unifying event to raise awareness of our beautiful City of Deux-Montagnes. Present at this press conference was a group of different organism implicated in the festivities.

The public is invited to come and discover our beautiful city’s shops, attractions, and more particularly, the side-street areas off Chemin Oka, between 13th and 16th Avenues, where the festivities will take place. The activities will begin Friday night around 8:30 pm with a free outdoor presentation of the movie “Moana” in French version at Central Park.

Starting at 2 pm on July 14th, there will be street animation, mini-farm, inflatable games, a serie of shows, car exhibitions,a photobooth with free photo print and more!   There will also be drawings and interactive pavilions with the local store merchants and different community organism.  Among the festivities, not to be missed, the evening show at 9:00 pm, featuring Marco Calliari.

The festivities will end by the Course de la famille on Sunday, July 16th starting at 8:30 am at the Central park. Inscriptions can be made now via the City’s website or thru jikko.ca. It’s a complete program that will appeal to all and undoubtedly mark the beginning of a tradition. Mayor Denis Martin commented: “On this occasion of our third edition of Deux-Montagnes en fête, we are convinced that this combination of activities on the same weekend will please every group of age.”

Meanwhile, Municipal Councillor, Madame Micheline Groulx-Stabile stated: “I am very happy to take part, again this year, in the organization of these festivities as president of the organizing committee. We wish that this annual event brings better visibility to our city and a feeling of pride to our citizens.

 This event has had strong support from generous sponsors including the Deputy Member for Deux-Montagnes, Monsieur Benoit Charrette and finally, Deputy member for Rivière-des-Mille-Iles, Mrs. Linda Lapointe, Caisse Desjardins St-Eustache/Deux-Montagnes and Scène Studio Basto.
