Repair of Chemin d’Oka

The City of Deux-Montagnes will repair Oka Road between 9th  Avenue and the East entrance of the City in the coming weeks.

The construction will mainly involve the replacement and rehabilitation of drinking water and sewer pipes and the reconstruction of the roadway. The project also includes the partial rebuilding of sidewalks and curbs, as well as the complete restoration of the paving. Improvements are also planned for traffic signals at the intersections of 8th and 9th Avenue.

The project will be realized through provincial and federal grants that will cover the most of the construction costs. The expected duration of the project is 12 weeks and the construction should start in June.

Local traffic will be permitted at all times to access residences and businesses located on Chemin d’Oka. A detour will be in effect from the beginning of the work by 9th Avenue and Guy Street. Please note that partial hindrances are to be expected and that a risk of congestion is possible. The City of Deux-Montagnes will do its utmost to minimize the impact of the construction site in the area.
