Deux-Montagnes, May, 29, 2023 – The City of Deux-Montagnes is pleased to encourage citizens and businesses to participate in the 35th edition of the Fleurir Deux-Montagnes contest. The purpose of this competition is to highlight the most beautiful plant and flower arrangements on the fronts of homes and businesses in the Deux-Montagnes area. How to participate? Nothing could be simpler since all homes and businesses are automatically registered!

During the months of July and August, members of the Embellishment Committee, made up of horticultural experts and volunteer judges, will walk the streets of the city to observe the most beautiful front landscaping. Three finalists per district will be awarded as well as one finalist for each of the following categories: “Businesses”, “Flowering balconies”, ” multi-dwelling buildings”, “Environmental effort” and finally “Our horticulturists’ favourite”.

“In the summer season, it is always a pleasure to see the landscaping and flower gardens on the streets of our city. Gardening is good for your physical and mental health and the whole neighbourhood benefits! Once again, this year, we invite all citizens to help Deux-Montagnes bloom,” said Mayor Denis Martin.

The winners of the Fleurir Deux-Montagnes 2023 contest will be announced at the Awards Evening to be held in the fall.  During this special evening, the photos of the winners will be unveiled, and the prizes will be awarded.  The names of the winners will be published on the website and on the City’s Facebook page.
