Saint-Eustache and Deux-Montagnes Sign Partnership Agreement for Aquatic Complex

Deux-Montagnes, May 20, 2021 – Starting in September, residents of Deux-Montagnes will be able to use the Saint-Eustache Aquatic Complex during regular recreational swimming periods. They can also sign up for organized swimming activities at the same prices paid by Saint-Eustache residents, under the terms of a five-year partnership agreement between the cities of Sainte-Eustache and Deux-Montagnes.

Appear in the photo, from left to right: Marc Lamarre, municipal councilor in Saint-Eustache and also president of the Association du sport et du plein air (ASPA), Michel Mendes, municipal councilor in Deux-Montagnes, Margaret Lavallée and Micheline Groulx Stabile, both municipal councilors in Deux-Montagnes, the mayor of Deux-Montagnes Denis Martin and the mayor of Saint-Eustache Pierre Charron.

Saint-Eustache residents, in turn, can attend young people’s swimming classes in the École des Érables pool in Deux-Montagnes, where services will be maintained.

Many Deux-Montagnes residents have been calling for access to an indoor pool where they can swim 12 months a year. “We’re more than happy to meet this request from our residents with a major improvement over the aquatic activities we can offer at present. The partnership with the City of Saint-Eustache honours a commitment we made at a price our taxpayers can afford,” said Deux-Montagnes Mayor Denis Martin.

Details on how residents can access the pool and register for aquatic activities will be announced later this spring.
