Deux-Montagnes, September 30, 2020 – The territory of the City of Deux-Montagnes will go into red alert (maximum alert) on the COVID-19 alert levels map that will be in effect , October 1st 2020. The maximum number of people that can gather on a sports field is 25, as was the case in the orange zone. The series of sanitary measures already in place will continue to apply and the collaboration of all participants is essential to limit the spread of the virus.

Important note : We are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, which is changing from day to day. We will keep you informed if changes need to be made again.

Reminder of the Health measures in place:

  • Citizens showing symptoms of COVID-19 should stay at home.
  • Citizens must disinfect their hands when entering buildings.
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory for people 10 years of age and over to access the facilities. It may be removed during sports or wellness activity, but must be worn when moving indoors (eg: to go to the bathroom, to leave the class, etc.).
  • A distance of 2 meters between each participant must be observed at all times.
  • Citizens are invited to bring their ALREADY FILLED water bottle.
  • Only one parent may accompany the child registered in a leisure activity, except for activities at the Olympia arena where accompanying adults are not allowed. In fact, the capacity of 50 people in the arena is reached by the team on the ice, by the other participants waiting around the skating ring, by the coaches and by the staff on site.
  • For swimming lessons, the presence of a parent in the water is necessary, in order to limit physical contact between the instructor and the child.

Although the course offering is currently being maintained in accordance with the instructions issued by the government, we understand that in the current pandemic context, some citizens will prefer to cancel their registration for an activity. It is possible to do so and obtain a refund by contacting the Leisure Department by e-mail, before the end of the second week of classes:loisirs@ville.deux-montagnes.qc.ca
