Deux-Montagnes, March 19, 2020 – In order to participate in the collective effort to limit the spread of the Covid-19, cash payment is now refused at the City of Deux-Montagnes. This additional preventive measure is effective as of March 19, until further notice.
Note that tax payments can be made by mail and online via the websites of financial institutions. Also, envelopes containing post-dated checks can be dropped off at any time in the secure mailbox outside City Hall.
The payment of fines can also be paid online, by credit card (by phone) and by using the secure payment box at the entrance to the municipal court. For more information, see the web page related to the payment of fines.

Closed places and suspended activities
As a reminder, the Olympia arena, the library, the community center and La Petite École Jaune are closed until further notice and all cultural and leisure activities are suspended.
Library – Online services
The library’s telephone services are always available Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (450 473-2796, option 5) and a variety of digital resources are also available: https://bibliotheque.ville.deux-montagnes.qc.ca/page.php?lang=en
A “Questions and Answers” document is also available (in French only) on the library’s website for answers to questions related to loans and returns in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Open administrative offices
As of March 19, Deux-Montagnes City Hall and all of the City’s administrative offices remain open and services are maintained. The City of Deux-Montagnes strongly encourages citizens to avoid showing up in person, and instead to use the telephone (450 473-2796) and email to communicate with the City.
Additional hygiene measures
Maintenance measures have been reinforced so as to intensify disinfection of surfaces conducive to contagion throughout the buildings. Citizens who must present themselves in person to a City department will also be instructed to disinfect their hands upon arrival.
