Coronavirus (Covid-19): the City of Deux-Montagnes sets up preventive measures

Deux-Montagnes, March 13, 2020 – Given the government’s decision to close schools for a period of two weeks, the City of Deux-Montagnes is implementing preventive measures and announces the closure, until further notice, of the library, the arena and the suspension of all cultural, sporting and leisure activities. In addition, the Quebec government’s directive to ban events gathering more than 250 people is thereby respected.

As for the modalities of postponement or reimbursement of activities, the people registered will be contacted.

This decision supports the government’s desire to limit the spread of the virus as much as possible. Like other cities in the region, the City of Deux-Montagnes remains in close contact with Public Health and the Ministry of Public Security and will reassess the situation day by day.

Municipal offices are open

Deux-Montagnes City Hall and all of the City’s administrative offices remain open according to the usual schedule.

Library services offered by telephone are always available during business hours and a variety of digital resources are also available:  https://bibliotheque.ville.deux-montagnes.qc.ca/

Registration period maintained

The registration period for library and spring recreation activities is also maintained until further notice.

Citizens are invited to monitor the latest news from the City of Deux-Montagnes to find out if an activity or event is taking place or if a building or municipal services are open or closed.
