Update: Spring flood in Deux-Montagnes at 11 am

Deux-Montagnes, April 24, 2019 – At 11 am, the Lac du Deux Montagnes water level is 24.39 m, the “major flood” level, according to the site of the Sécurité publique du Québec. Despite this very high level, the concrete dyke erected by the City of Deux-Montagnes allows citizens not to be flooded until now. Municipal employees and subcontractors monitor the watertightness of the dike 24 hours a day in order to maintain this protection during the critical period.

The forecast for the end of this day is 24.41 m, for Thursday it is 24.48 m and for Friday 24.53 m. So an increase of about 14 centimeters in two days.

The flow at the Carillon dam is now 8000 m3 / second and could reach 8500 m3 / second in the coming days. Recall that in 2017, the flow of this dam had reached 9500 m3 / second.
